Infinity Database Administrator

  • General Description
    • The Product Engineering group controls the flow of product/process data from measurement to database to data consumer
    • The individual in this position will have primary responsibility for creation and maintenance of control charts using Infinity Proficient and will help users with Infinity and related applications
  • Detailed Job Duties
    • Manage the day-to-day activities of the Infinity database:
      • Create new projects and update existing ones as required
      • Manage user accounts and control functional roles
      • Help improve usability and standardization of Infinity
    • Product Engineering’s internal “Help Desk”
      • Field problems from users of Product Engineering-developed applications: fix or elevate them
      • Assist users with set up and troubleshooting of applications developed within Product Engineering

Applications Engineer IV

  • General Description
    • The The Applications Engineer IV will be responsible for using engineering knowledge and skills to support the engineering and sales teams with both new and existing customers. He/she will work with the Manufacturing, Product Engineering, Sales, and Development teams, acting in the capacity of engineering information conduit to provide essential information flow between the groups and with customers. This individual relies on their semiconductor and MEMS processing expertise to interact with customers at an in-depth technical level. They also rely on their business experience to support the sales team in their process of negotiating orders, providing clear direction on technical abilities, challenges, and limitations of both MEMS in general, and of the IMT process and equipment set. This position requires not only extensive engineering expertise, but also excellent communication skills to facilitate close cooperation with individuals from multiple different groups and backgrounds. Some travel will be expected of this position.
  • Detailed Job Duties
    • Communicate between the engineering and sales groups and customers. This includes:
      • Technical information on products and process capabilities of IMT
      • Collection of information and ideas from development and process engineering and rendering it in a form useable by the sales team and customers
      • Collecting information from the sales team and customers and relaying it in a meaningful fashion to the manufacturing and engineering teams
      • Assisting in routine interactions with customers
    • Technical support of the sales process, both at IMT and at face-to-face meetings with customers

Quality Engineer

  • Detailed Job Duties
    • Audit, maintain and refine ISO 9001 quality management systems

Production Material Coordinator

  • General Description
    • Work with production planner to forecast and manage semiconductor fabrication cleanroom (fab) consumable inventory
    • Assist in the development and improvement of inventory control systems along with their implementation
    • Execute methods for controlling, storing, distribution and physical verification or production materials
    • Perform shipping and receiving activities and direct dispensing fab consumables
    •  Must have in-depth knowledge of Excel, familiarity of inventory control systems a plus.
  • Detailed Job Duties
    • Analyze material usage rates to minimize inventory while assuring no disruptions in production operations
    • Ensures all inventory transactions are accounted for and that the procedures for dispensing items are being followed
    • Monitor inventory levels as needed and reconcile inventory information in OPC and Eyelit MES
    • Assist in restocking fab related materials
    • Responsible for storage and safe keeping of bulk wafers and other fab consumables
    • Work with purchasing to re-ordering consumables and reduce costs
    • Responsible for fab garment control. Work directly with service personnel, assist in restocking garment inventory based on weekly usage report, track and address beyond repair patterns
    • Responsible for managing shipping department in accordance with SOPs (standard operating procedures). Ensure that shipping is executed in a timely manner and that shipping notification are sent to IMT and its customers (tracking numbers and summaries)
    • Assist in the execution of 5S projects throughout the company
    • Ensure supply needs of custodial are met
    • Leads corrective action efforts in the inventory and shipping areas

Production Technician - 2nd Shift

  • General Description
    • Gains specialized knowledge of all tools and processes in assigned bay(s)
    • Ensures tools and lots in assigned bay(s) are not idle, and all lots in assigned bay(s) are moving efficiently
    • Monitors real time status of all equipment in assigned bay
    • Utilizes Eyelit and communicates with engineering and maintenance to ensure issues with lots, processes, and tools are being addressed in assigned bay(s)
    • Maintains 5S protocol for assigned bay(s)
    • This is a 2nd shift position
  • Detailed Job Duties
    • Production tech has ownership of assigned bay(s)
    • Position requires specialized knowledge of tools and processes run in assigned bay(s)
      • Redlines all documentation (EOIs, Eyelit travelers, QAIs and MPIs) related to processes in assigned bay(s) to ensure compliance
        • Submits redlines to appropriate engineering personnel
      • Works with engineering to create new recipes for their bay(s), as required
      • Responsible for completing training matrix requirements for all tools and approved processes run in assigned bay(s)
    • Run all start ups and quals for tools in assigned bay(s) per assigned schedule
    • Run all production lots and released development lots in assigned bay(s) according to Eyelit or paper traveler instructions
      • Checks tool status in Eyelit before operating any tool
      • Correctly tracks lots through Eyelit or paper travelers in real time
      • Processes materials according to engineering change order (ECO) instructions
      • Responsible for productivity in assigned aisle
      • Lots will be run first in, first out (FIFO) unless otherwise instructed by Eyelit priority
      • Communicate tool availability to engineers for engineering only processes
      • Perform inspections according to QAIs
        • QAI must be displayed on monitor during inspections

    • Flexibility between bays is required, depending on work load

      • All overtime must be approved in advance by the shift supervisor

MEMS Design Engineer

  • General Description
    • The MEMS Design Engineer will design new and support the designs of existing MEMS devices. The design activities will be focused on CAD software that includes ANSYS, HFSS, COMSOL, L-Edit, ZEMAX, and Essential Macleod

    • Create simulations that run efficiently and converge over a wide range of input parameters
    • Optimize designs based on simulations
    • Work closely with Process Development Program Managers and Engineers to assure the designs are manufacturable

Photolithography Engineer

  • General Description
    • IMT is looking for a talented photolithography process engineer to sustain current production and lead the development of new processes
    • This includes ownership of advanced steppers, mask aligner and coater track equipment, photo process control, qualification operations, equipment performance, and reaction plans

Maintenance Technician - 3rd Shift

  • General Description
    • IMT is Seeking talented technician to perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on wafer fab manufacturing equipment in a class 100 semiconductor production cleanroom in Santa Barbara CA
  • Detailed Job Duties
    • Work with Equipment Engineers to improve an increase equipment uptime
    • Work with vendors, field service and technical representatives
    • Order parts, attend shift passdown meetings, and communicate daily activities
    • Make database entries to document all work performed on equipment
    • This is a non-exempt position working on a compressed work week shift -- 3rd shift
      • Work hours are 4 pm to 3:30 am Monday through Thursday (after training and attaining certain level of experience)
      • Regular overtime may be required
    • This is an in fab position and requires wearing cleanroom attire and working in a cleanroom environment
    • Standing for long periods and lifting 60+ lbs is required
    • You may be required to wear PPE and be exposed to chemicals
    • Experience with advanced semiconductor equipment such as wafer Nikon stepper, Veeco PVD and STS PECVD, Tystar LPCVD, ICP etchers, SVG/TEL coater tracks, Suss wafer bonders, Plasmatherm RIE, and robotic wet benches is preferred
  • Work Experience, Education, and Physical Requirements
    • Minimum of H.S. diploma with 15 years experience OR A.A. degree in electronics or manufacturing technology or equivalent with 10 years experience
    • Minimum of 3 years experience in production semiconductor process equipment maintenance
